Although we had no problems with the stock Maxxis tires on the street, we opted for Dunlop Q4s for our track day during the shootout with the Triumph Street Triple R and rode with them on the street until we were well into the wear bars. Troy’s impression of the Q4 rubber on the track is that they get up to temperature quickly and don’t require tire warmers. Unfortunately, he feels they sign off early when it comes to rear grip. However, this gave him the opportunity to feel how well the 790 manages its traction control. Where on some bikes the TC can be felt actively cutting power, the 790’s TC can be felt trying to feed out as much power as possible without slipping – an important distinction. On the street, the Q4s worked like the top-shelf sport tires that they are. However, we failed you because we neglected to write down the mileage when we changed to the Dunlops. So, we can’t say how long they lasted. In our defense, we never really planned on keeping the 790 this long. It just sort of happened.

Kansas City: McDonald’s has started a trans-Atlantic barbecue feud with the introduction of a Kansas City-themed hamburger in the U.K. Outgoing Mayor Sly James said Tuesday that the fast-food chain should “stay in your lane” in a tweet that included a picture of what he says a “real” burger looks like. Kansas City is known for its style of dry-rubbed, slow-cooked meats drizzled in tomato-molasses sauce. Other Twitter users rushed to join the mocking after McDonald’s proclaimed “Yeehaw” as it promoted its “Kansas City Stack” on social media. Barbecue powerhouse Q39 kidded “Yeehaw, mate!” while Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que retweeted a scathing critique of the burger along with a slew of various laughing emojis. McDonald’s says the bacon-topped burger is available until June 25, but not in America.

A couple from South Dakota is dead following a fatal motorcycle-farm tractor crash in Arlington Township over the weekend.

Like Romanchuk, Obhof acknowledged that historically, members of the law enforcement community have not supported the change. In response to those concerns, he noted that as a Gov. DeWine has expressed interest in looking for alternatives law enforcement officers can use in place of existing scanners that read license plates as cars drive by.

“The thing we have at Penfield, when we built that track, we used some dirt that we found by Penfield, and it is really, really nice for a pulling track. It wasn’t very good to grow crops on, but it works great for a pulling track,” Buhr said.
